There were three things I needed constantly while writing How to Fix a Broken Record: a box of tissue, chocolate and soulful music. Yes I cried and wrote and ate donuts and wrote and devoured chocolate bars and wrote while Solange, India.Arie, Erykah Badu, Eric Roberson, Al Green, Curtis Mayfield, and Bill Withers provided the groove.

This book is personal with moments of hilarity. It tells stories of faith with questions and doubt in between. This book is about loving yourself, allowing yourself to be loved by God, the life lessons one can gain from a series of bad dates, my love/hate relationship with social media. AND MORE. It just feels like after a list of things it’s really important to add AND MORE. I know some of you are really interested in the AND MORE part, so this is for you.

How to Fix a Broken Record is about watching God mend and heal what’s broken, through tears, through laughter, through dance, through the groove. I can’t wait to share it with you!!!
